OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove doesn’t ignite, first check if the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is burning, that means a different part will have to be repaired. The reason for the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove with no heat will not do much. Your oven won’t heat if there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. Your burner won’t turn on if an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

It’s safe to assume the control panel on a stove is broken if the timer or program settings are not working. OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the heat is out of control, it could be because of a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen can find the cause of the issue and repair it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter will glow but it will not light. The cause is sometimes from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We determine if we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens can have door issues. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to find out why the door will not open and then we complete the necessary repair in order to fix the problem.
